Spring Into Love: Fall Edition

Youth are leading the fight against HIV/STDs and teen pregnancies with Spring into Love. Now in its eighth year, Spring into love is a youth-led health conference that aims to empower young people ages 14-20 to make positive choices regarding their sexual and reproductive health. Championed by the office of Supervisor Mark-Ridley Thomas and the Department of Public Health, Division of HIV & STDS Programs, this year we have re-designed Spring into Love to be a virtual event.

In 2019, Spring into Love brought approximately 260 young people ages 13 to 21 together for a day of teen-led workshops, interactive games, musical performances, and other activities designed to promote health and well-being.

This year, our commitment continues to focus on taking a holistic approach to address sexual and reproductive health, ensuring that youth participants receive information on a variety of topics that impact their health, including safer sex, healthy relationships, and self-care.

Spring into Love: Fall Edition 2020 is a free, online two-day conference that is led and organized by Spring into Love youth interns from various high schools in South Los Angeles and adult allies from the WeCanStopSTDsLA Coalition for youth!

The event is open exclusively to youth ages 14-20 from all backgrounds. Spring into Love is a fun day of learning, meeting new people and connecting with resources from the community. Youth leaders take the stage to teach workshops on everything from self-love, safer sex, and healthy relationships. There will be entertainment and lots of opportunities to win raffle prizes.

Spring into Love: Fall Edition will take place on Zoom, an online digital platform for 2 consecutive Saturdays on October 17 & 24th. There will be 3 breakout sessions. Day 1 will be dedicated to safer sex & healthy relationships, day 2 will focus on self-love. Links and access will be sent to registered participants.

The first 50 youth registrants will receive a Spring into Love shirt. Register today!
