DATE: Saturday, May 13, 2017
TIME: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (includes bus transportation time)
TRANSPORTATION: FREE Buses will be provided (for most schools or a local campus)
CHAPERONE: Training rate for the chaperone (certificated or approved school staff member) will be provided
GROUP MINIMUM: Must have a minimum group size of 6 students and maximum of 30 per (1) teacher chaperone. For larger groups speak with me directly.
FOOD: Lunch provided.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
What is Project U?
Project U is a new social media platform and campaign in Los Angeles targeting health decision-making and communication by creating a safe space online to get health information to have the conversation. It hopes to use new media strategies to increase health awareness and decrease high-risk behavior among our youth. It uses mobile phone technology and has an online Website (www.ProjectULA.org) that houses health information that is medically accurate, current, and non-biased (inclusive).
What is the Goal of the Leadership Summit?
The goal is for Project U to be student driven. We want students to drive the use our new media with student street teams. Our goal is to bring youth to this Youth Leadership Summit to create action plans for NEW Project U street teams on how to plan an event on campus spread the word on their schools (e.g. Table at lunch, PSA's, etc.).
Who is our target audience?
We hope all of LAUSD students will feel the affect of this campaign, but we hope to also reach some of our most at-risk populations.
You should receive a follow-up email soon after you fax your registrations over. This will include the forms for the field trip you and students will fill out.
