This summer, Teen Line will be launching the Teen Line Ambassadors Program, giving teens across Los Angeles County the opportunity to be trained to become speakers for their Outreach Program.
Teen Line's Outreach Program aims to educate youth about the services Teen Line provides and destigmatize mental health issues that affect teens.
Teen Line works to inform youth about common struggles, warning signs and symptoms, and provide support during the difficult teenage years.
A Teen Line Ambassador is a high school student (9-12 grade) who has a personal experience with overcoming mental health challenges or teen related issues (bullying, peer pressure, family issues, etc.) and a passion for helping others.
Participants gain public speaking training, enhanced leadership skills and community service hours (experience/resume building).
If you know someone who might be interested please contact Michelle Carlson, the Executive Director of Teen Line at [email protected] or 310-423-1084.
