During this meeting there will be an engaging workshop on Protective and Promotive Factors. The workshop will be facilitated by Lakhiyia Hicks, MA, Educational Consultant & Training Specialist, and feature Diana Careaga, MPH, of First 5 LA, Kandee Lewis, Executive Director of The Positive Results Corporation, and Dr. Lisa Barkley of Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science as presenters.

Participants will learn about protective and promotive factors in relationship to positive youth development, hear examples of how organizations in the community are addressing them, and explore how protective and promotive factors are involved with overlapping aspects of community, youth development, and sexual and reproductive health.
