Planning for the 2018 Youth Count is underway!

The Youth Count is a component of the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, and data collected on young people experiencing homelessness from this effort directly impacts local, state, and federal measures when addressing homeless youth services.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) is currently collecting hot spot information to help determine locations Youth Count teams will cover this January.

If you are aware of places where unsheltered youth under the age of 25 spend time in the community, please complete the Youth Count Hot Spot Tracking Form by Friday, December 1.

We encourage you to share this link with staff at your organization and with other community partners who are knowledgeable about where young people experiencing homelessness in your community are likely to be found, as this information is critical to ensuring an accurate count. Please note that this request pertains only to locations within the Los Angeles Continuum of Care (LACoC), which covers Los Angeles County except for the cities of Glendale, Long Beach, and Pasadena.

Thank you for your support in ensuring the success of this year’s Youth Count!
